Evidence Based Nutrition Counseling

My interest in nutrition started in college while studying the connection between diet, colon cancer and gut health. After spending several years working in research, I went back to school to become a dietitian. I went on to work with a variety of patients including pediatrics and critical care in the hospital setting. This was followed by several years of outpatient nutrition counseling where I saw patients with a wide variety of diagnoses.

My love of being outside and active led me to complete an Ironman triathlon after many years as a distance runner. I also enjoy hiking, cooking and walking the neighborhood with my husband and son. Calling Alaska home is a dream come true for our family.
